Sakheim '22 collects second field hockey Scholars of Distinction honor

Hamilton College's Madison Sakheim '22 (Hamden, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) earned a 2019 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholars of Distinction honor on Wednesday, March 25.

Sakheim has been recognized as one of the Scholars of Distinction for the second time in as many years. The program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or better through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Sakheim started the first 10 games on defense and was named to the NESCAC fall all-sportsmanship and NESCAC fall all-academic teams in 2019. She helped lead the Continentals as they advanced to the semifinals of the NESCAC championship and finished with an overall record of 9-8.
