Ten field hockey players honored for classroom excellence

Ten Hamilton College student-athletes were recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) this March when the organization announced its 2019 academic awards.

The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better through the first semester of the current academic year. All 10 Hamilton recipients are listed below.

The Continentals also collected the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award, which is a program that recognizes teams for earning a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall semester of the current school year. The Hamilton field hockey team has earned this award three times under head coach Missy Mariano, who wrapped up her third season in the fall.
