Hamilton College's Lizzie Clarke '20 (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck HS) was selected the NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 4 after helping the Continentals to a huge postseason win on Saturday.

The player of the week award is the first for Clarke in her collegiate career. The midfielder scored both goals in the fourth quarter of Hamilton's 2-1 NESCAC championship quarterfinal victory at nationally ranked No. 4 Bowdoin College. She tied the score on a penalty stroke with 3:52 left and added the game-winner on a penalty corner with 1:44 remaining.

The multi-goal game is the fourth of Clarke's career and her second in the last four contests. She is second in the conference with eight assists and tied for 14th with 18 points.

The Continentals -- the seventh seed for the championship -- are advancing to the NESCAC semifinals for the second time (2016). Hamilton takes on the championship's top seed in Middlebury College on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. in Middlebury, Vt.
