Giuttari '20 a field hockey all-American for the second time

Hamilton College's Michaela Giuttari '20 (Warwick, R.I./Loomis Chaffee School [Conn.]) was selected for the 2018 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-America Team on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

2018 NFHCA D3 All-America Team

Giuttari was placed on the second team for the second year in a row. She is one of 10 two-time all-America honorees and one of 48 athletes total on this year's team. Last week she received the third all-region honor of her Hamilton career.

Giuttari led the Continentals with 16 goals, including five game-winners, seven assists and 39 points in 16 games. The forward tied for 25th in NCAA Division III in goals per game and was 18th in points per game. Her 39 points are tied for the second-highest single-season total in program history. She has 48 goals, 18 assists and 114 points in 48 career games. Giuttari is second at Hamilton in goals and third in points.

The Continentals finished with a 10-6 overall record and tied for fourth place in the NESCAC with a 6-4 conference mark. Hamilton hosted a NESCAC championship quarterfinal for the third straight year and ended up at No. 18 in the final Division III Top 20 coaches poll.
