Field hockey ranked 18th in final D3 coaches poll of 2018

Hamilton College wrapped up its 2018 season at No. 18 in the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll released on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

The Continentals were ranked 19th in the preseason poll and climbed as high as 13th in mid-October. Hamilton finished with an overall record of 10-6 and tied for fourth place in the NESCAC standings with a conference record of 6-4 under second-year head coach Melissa Mariano.

The Continentals hosted a NESCAC championship quarterfinal for the third year in a row and posted a double-digit win total for the sixth time in program history. Hamilton recorded three victories against ranked teams.
