Hamilton College football defensive back Christian Snell '22 (Alden, N.Y./Alden HS) was selected the NESCAC Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday, Sept. 30.

On Saturday the Continentals trailed Wesleyan University 29-26 late in the fourth quarter when the Cardinals lined up to punt from their own 26-yard line. Snell broke through and blocked the punt and then fell on the loose ball in the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:34 left. Hamilton went on to post a 33-29 victory -- the Continentals' first win in three games this season.

The blocked punt and touchdown was the biggest play this season so far by Snell, who also broke up a pass against Wesleyan. He has been credited with two tackles in his first three collegiate games.

Hamilton hosts Trinity College on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
