Bard College pushed across a run with a two-out single in the bottom of the 13th inning and the Raptors posted a 5-4 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Florida, on Sunday afternoon.

Hamilton (4-1 overall) was dealt its first loss this season. The Continentals are back in action on Tuesday, March 19 with a doubleheader against The College of New Jersey. First pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. on Lake Myrtle Field No. 2.

Bard (5-3) was led by Gunnar Schichtl and his three hits and two runs batted in. Nikolai Grumet added three more hits and drew a walk. Rory Maglich and Jordan Myers added two hits apiece. Grumet coaxed a one-out walk in the 13th and was lifted for pinch-runner Angelo Winings, who eventually reached third base on two wild pitches. Winings scored the game-winning run on Maglich's single through the left side. McOsker, who had an infield single and stole second in the top of the 13th, was the only runner in scoring position for the Continentals the last five innings.

The Raptors took a 1-0 lead in the third inning but Hamilton came back with two runs in the top of the fifth. McOsker led off with a walk, stole second and went to third base on a bunt single by Joe Suski '21. Suski stole second and Ethan Wallis '21 drew a walk to load the bases. Jarrett Lee '21 forced in a run with another walk and Suski scored on a sacrifice fly by Matt Zaffino '21 as the Continentals went up 2-1.

Hamilton went up 3-1 the next inning. Marooney led off the sixth with a walk, advanced to second on a wild pitch and went to third on McOsker's one-out single to left field. Marooney then scored on another wild pitch.

Bard pulled within a run in the bottom half of the sixth but the Continentals restored their two-run lead in the eighth. McOsker smacked a one-out double down the left-field line and with two outs, Wallis laced a triple down the right-field line. The Raptors tied the score on a leadoff single and back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the inning.
