The Continentals host both SUNY Polytechnic and SUNY Cobleskill in non-conference baseball action at Hamilton's Loop Road Baseball/Softball Complex this weekend.

Hamilton kicks off a three-game series against SUNY Poly on Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the Continentals will play a nine-inning game against the Wildcats at noon to complete the series and follow with a second nine-inning contest against Cobleskill at 3:30 p.m. Saturday's games were originally scheduled to be played at SUNY Poly so the Wildcats will be batting in the home half of the inning for the doubleheader.

The Continentals (6-9 overall) are coming off two one-run setbacks against NESCAC-opponent Amherst College last weekend. The first game of the doubleheader went into extra innings after the score was tied 4-4 after seven.

Matt Zaffino '21 leads the NESCAC with a .892 slugging percentage and three home runs, and he ranks top-five in batting average (.405), on-base percentage (.520), doubles (5), triples (2), runs batted in (15), total bases (33) and walks (11). The Wildcats' top hitters are Dalton Earl (.458/.548/.625), John Andrews (.435/.536/.522) and Joshua Rodriguez (.316/.435/.368). Earl's batting average ranks him fifth in the North Eastern Athletic Conference and he has three extra base hits. Rodrigues has seven stolen bases, Connor Manderson hits .314 with 16 hits and two triples, and Dean Natalizio hits .200 with a team-best 11 RBIs.

The SUNY Poly pitchers have a 4.55 ERA and average nearly six strikeouts per nine innings. John Noone and Jeremiah Horton rank top-four in the NEAC with a 2.00 and 2.45 ERA, respectively.

Cobleskill (1-13) has lost five straight after picking up its first win of the season in the first game of a doubleheader against the College of New Rochelle on March 29.
