SCOTIA, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals' top boat finished in fourth place out of 13 entries in the collegiate eights at the Mohawk Fall Classic on the Mohawk River on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27.
Hamilton's 'A' entry recorded a time of 14:18.03 on the 3,700-meter course, and the 'B' entry ended up in 10
th place in 15:08.64. Middlebury College took first place in 13:09.74 and one of the University at Albany entries was runner-up in 13:37.86.
The Continentals placed two boats in the top five out of 14 entries in the collegiate fours. Hamilton's 'B' boat landed in fourth place with a time of 15:54.78 and the 'A' entry finished a close fifth in 16:01.53. UAlbany grabbed the top three spots including the winning time of 14:30.91.
The Continentals won't compete again until the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston and Cambridge, Mass., on Sunday, Oct. 18.
