BRUNSWICK, Maine – Hamilton College's Shanya Arasu '28 helped lead the Continentals to fourth place out of 13 teams at Bowdoin College's Polar Bear Shootout, which was held at Brunswick Golf Club on Sept. 12 and 13.
 
Arasu tied for fifth place out of 85 golfers at even-par 146 for 36 holes. Her one-under 72 in Sunday's final round was the best of the day for the Continentals. The 18- and 36-hole scores were Arasu's best at Hamilton.
 
Kiran Bagga '29 tied for 11^th place at 149, including an even-par 73 on Sunday. Bagga shattered her previous best 36-hole score for the Continentals by six shots.
 
Aubrey Lee '28, who played in the 2026 NCAA Division III championship, tied for 27^th place at 152 (75-77). Teagan Nadeau '30 fired a two-under 71 in her first collegiate round on Saturday and finished in a tie for 29^th place at 153.
 
Keira Joshi '27 rounded out Hamilton's top five in a tie for 40^th place at 157 (78-79). Cate Leydig '30, who was playing as an individual, was one shot back of Joshi at 158 (78-80).
 
The Continentals were in first place after 18 holes with a four-person team score of 296. Hamilton slipped a bit on the second day with a 301 and finished with a team score of 597 for the tournament. Middlebury College captured the team title at 588 and was followed closely by Bowdoin (593) and Amherst College (595).
 
The Continentals compete in Middlebury's George Phinney Classic at Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20.
