Luke Tchor '27 (Toronto, Ontario/St. Martin Secondary School) were honored at the 37
th Kiwanis Club of Utica Recognition Dinner for Outstanding Collegiate Athletes at Club Monarch on Thursday, April 30.

The outstanding athletes are individuals who excel in both their sport and academics and demonstrate good character. Hamilton was joined by Herkimer College, Mohawk Valley Community College, SUNY Morrisville, SUNY Polytechnic Institute and Utica University.

Truchon made the 2025 all-region and all-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) teams as a midfielder and was selected for the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Collegiate Senior Team. The 2024 all-American helped the Continentals to one of their best seasons in program history in 2025. Hamilton (12-6 overall) received an at-large bid to the NCAA championship, hosted an NCAA game for the first time and picked up its first tournament win. The Continentals were ranked seventh in the Oct. 21 NFHCA Top 25 poll – the highest ranking in program history. Truchon was a captain for the field hockey and ice hockey teams as a senior. She made the 2025 fall and 2026 winter NESCAC all-academic teams.

Tchor was a 2026 all-American, a finalist for the Division III player of the year award, and the NESCAC Player of the Year. He scored a goal and added an assist in Hamilton's 2-1 overtime win over Hobart College in the 2026 NCAA championship final. Tchor helped lead the Continentals to a 23-5-2 record, a team record for wins in a season and Hamilton's first national title. The forward finished the season with 34 points on 18 goals and 16 assists in 26 games. The Continentals ended up ranked No. 1 in the final USCHO.com and DIIIHockeyNews.com Top 15 polls of the 2025-26 season. Tchor will be a team captain for the 2026-27 season. He was on the 2026 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.
