WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Hamilton College Continentals were in fifth place out of eight teams after the first round of the 2026 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship at Taconic Golf Club on Friday, May 1.
Nationally ranked No. 13 Hamilton recorded a four-person team score of 323 on the 5,826-yard layout. Middlebury College was in the lead at 305 after the opening 18 holes.
Aubrey Lee '28 was tied for 10
th place out of 39 golfers as she posted a 7-over-par 78. Lee birdied the 10
th and 18
th holes and finished the back nine in even-par 36. Her last eight rounds have been under 80 and she leads the Continentals with an 18-hole stroke average of 76.22.
Peyton Sichol '26 made birdie on the 12
th hole and was tied for 17
th place with an 80. The 12
th played as the third-hardest hole on Friday.
Hamilton players accounted for half of the six birdies that were made on the par-five 10
th hole in the first round.
The Continentals start teeing off at 9 a.m. in the second round on Saturday, May 2. The 54-hole event concludes on Sunday, May 3.
