CLINTON, N.Y. – Middlebury College won all the singles matches and the Panthers defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 7-0 in NESCAC action inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sunday afternoon, April 19.
Season Update
- The Continentals (7-8, 1-7 NESCAC) also dropped a 7-0 decision at Williams College on April 18. Hamilton is 47th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association computerized tennis rankings.
- No. 21 Middlebury (12-3, 6-2) edged Amherst College 4-3 on April 18.
How It Happened
The Panthers won two of the three doubles matches and picked up the doubles team point. Middlebury went on to capture all six singles points.
Notes
- Alexei Katelevsky '29 and Filip Moller '29 teamed up for a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles for the Continentals.
- Katelevsky and Moller improved to 6-3, including 4-3 against conference opponents, as a pairing in dual matches this spring. They have identical 7-5 records in doubles play in 2026.
- Hamilton players won the first set at No. 2 singles and No. 6 singles, but lost the third set super-tiebreaker.
Next Match
The Continentals host Connecticut College (3-14, 0-8) on Saturday, April 25 at approximately 2 p.m. after the conclusion of the women's match. Hamilton will honor its three seniors.
