No. 12 women's golf places seventh at Amherst's Jack Leaman Invitational

Sichol '26 and Arasu '28 finished in the top 15 for the Continentals in a field that included eight ranked teams

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Hamilton College's Peyton Sichol '26 and Shanya Arasu '28 finished in the top 15 as the Continentals placed seventh out of 12 teams at Amherst College's Jack Leaman Invitational, which was held at The Orchards Golf Club on April 11 and 12.
 
Sichol tied for ninth place out of 66 golfers at 152, which was her best effort for 36 holes since the fall semester of her first year at Hamilton. She tied a season best with a 3-over par 75 in Sunday's final round.
 
Arasu tied for 14th place one shot behind Sichol at 153. Her 2-over 74 on Saturday was the best round of the weekend for the Continentals. All 11 of her rounds this season have been 80 or better.
 
Kiran Bagga '29 finished in 23rd place at 156. Bagga's 76 on Sunday was her best at Hamilton. Camille DeStefano '28, who was playing as an individual, carded a collegiate-best 162 (82-80) for 36 holes.
 
The 12th-ranked Continentals were tied for fifth place with a four-person team score of 317 after Saturday's first round. Despite improving slightly with a 315 on Sunday, Hamilton dropped to seventh place in a field that included seven other teams ranked in the top 25 in Division III.
 
The Continentals compete in the Northeast Invitational at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass., on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
