ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals opened the spring portion of their schedule with a 6-1 non-conference victory against the University of Rochester Yellowjackets inside Rochester's Goergen Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Season Update
- Hamilton (1-0 overall) was competing for the first time since October 2025.
- Rochester (3-4) lost for the fourth time in its last five matches.
How It Happened
- The Continentals picked up the team doubles point by winning two of the three matches.
- Priyanka Challapalli '27, Mona Farah '29 and Samantha Rainero '26 triumphed in both their singles and doubles matches. All three prevailed in straight sets in singles.
- Grace Qian '27 outlasted Jasmin Toor in three sets at No. 4 singles.
- Muhan Cui '28 won at No. 6 singles in a match highlighted by a 12-10 decision in the third set super-tiebreaker.
Notes
- Challapalli and Hannah Walpole '26, playing as doubles partners for the first time this season, collected their 11th career win together.
- Farah and Rainero recorded their first win as a doubles team. Rainero leads the Continentals with six doubles victories.
