Women's golf leaps up seven spots to No. 11 in Division III coaches poll

Continentals had a breakthrough performance finishing third at the Golfweek October Classic

The Hamilton College Continentals are ranked 11th in the latest Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll that was released on Friday, Oct. 24.

Hamilton moved up seven spots from No. 18 in the previous poll released on Sept. 26. Since then, the Continentals finished in sixth place out of 20 teams at the Williams College Invitational, captured the team title in the Hamilton Fall Invitational, and placed third out of 24 teams at the Golfweek Division III October Classic.

The Continentals' performance in the Golfweek October Classic, which was held in Miramar Beach, Fla., from Oct. 12 to Oct. 14, was likely the reason for the significant jump in the poll. The event featured seven teams besides Hamilton that were ranked in the top 25 at the time. The Continentals finished behind only current No. 4 Williams and No. 8 Randolph-Macon College. Hamilton's 54-hole team score of 897 featured a team-record 291 in the second round. All five Continentals placed in the top 35 out of 119 golfers.

Hellen Xiang '29 leads Hamilton with an 18-hole stroke average of 76.00 after seven rounds. Shanya Arasu '28 is close behind at 76.44 through nine rounds this fall. The Continentals will resume their 2025-26 season during spring break in Florida in late March.
