CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College captured an 8-1 NESCAC victory over Connecticut College as the Continentals swept the six singles matches inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, April 13.
The Continentals (5-5, 2-4 NESCAC) aim to keep their momentum going on Tuesday, April 16 when they host Ithaca College (7-7 overall) in a non-conference clash at 4 p.m.
Hannah Apsey '25 and
Stephanie Pratt '25 triumphed at first flight doubles, improving their record as a pair to 7-2 this spring. They are ranked sixth in the Northeast Region according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Apsey has 37 career doubles victories.
Priyanka Challapalli '27 and
Lorelei Glidden '24 teamed up for the win at third flight doubles. This was their first doubles match together this spring and Glidden's first this season.
Apsey (first flight), Pratt (second) and Challapalli (third) also picked up singles victories. Apsey, who is sixth in the Northeast Region singles rankings, improved her career singles record to 28-25. Pratt earned her 22
nd career singles victory, and Challapalli won her first singles match in NESCAC play and eighth overall. Every Continental won their singles match in straight sets.
Shannon Cicero '25 secured the fifth team point and clinched Hamilton's victory in her fourth flight singles match.
Hannah Walpole '26 won at fifth flight, giving her 18 career singles victories.
Grace Qian '27 lost just three games at sixth flight and leads the team with 10 singles wins.

Grace Fuss '24 were honored before the match with a Senior Day ceremony.
