CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College swept the three doubles matches and the Continentals cruised to an 8-1 non-conference win against the University of Rochester Yellowjackets inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday, March 29.
The Continentals (4-2 overall) have won three straight matches. They will put that win streak on the line against NESCAC foe Amherst College (3-2, 0-1 NESCAC), which is 18
th in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
Stephanie Pratt '25 was a winner in straight sets at third flight singles and teamed up with
Hannah Apsey '25 at first flight doubles. They are 4-1 as a doubles team this season. Apsey's career doubles record improved to 34-18.
Grace Qian '27 prevailed in straight sets at fourth flight singles and was paired with
Ally Turtledove '25 for an 8-0 victory at third flight doubles. Qian leads the team with nine singles wins.
Shannon Cicero '25 didn't lose a game in her sixth flight singles match and was an 8-2 winner at second flight doubles as she reunited with
Hannah Walpole '26 for the first time this season. Cicero has 21 singles and 25 doubles victories in her Hamilton career. Walpole leads the Continentals with eight doubles wins. Cicero and Walpole boast a 13-6 record as a doubles team at Hamilton.
Priyanka Challapalli '27 was a winner at second flight singles and evened her record at 3-3 in dual matches.
Samantha Rainero '26 is 7-7 this season after her triumph at fifth flight singles.
