WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Hamilton College finished in fourth place out of four teams in the 2023 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship at Taconic Golf Club on Sunday, April 30.
The Continentals, who received votes in the most recent Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll, recorded a four-woman team score of 333 in the second and final round. Sunday's total was slightly better than Hamilton's 339 on Saturday, and the Continentals posted a 36-hole total of 672.
No. 13 Amherst College captured the NESCAC title at 609, No. 12 Williams College was runner-up at 612 and Middlebury College was third at 627. Amherst earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III championship.
Peyton Sichol '26 carded Hamilton's best round of the weekend with an 81 on Sunday, and led the Continentals in 16
th place out of 23 golfers at 164 for 36 holes.
Olivia Strigh '25 registered a final-round 83,
Maddie Hong '23 added an 84 and
Alaina McKeen '24 had an 85. Taconic GC has a par of 71 and played to 5,819 yards this weekend.
