Women's golf places third in first of two tournaments at Vassar

Sichol '26 led the Continentals with a 78 for 18 holes

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Hamilton College finished in third place out of seven teams at the 2023 Vassar College Women's Golf Invitational at Casperkill Golf Club on Saturday, April 1.
 
Hamilton, which is receiving votes in the Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll, recorded a four-person team score of 320. Nationally ranked No. 19 New York University captured the team title at 290 and Wellesley College, which is also receiving votes, was runner-up at 305.
 
Peyton Sichol '26 led the Continentals and tied for 12th out of 39 golfers with a 78. Sichol broke 80 for the 11th time in 12 rounds this season.
 
Olivia Strigh '25 was next for Hamilton and in 15th place with an 80. Alaina McKeen '24, Allie LeeHoffman '23 and Maddie Hong '23 were another stroke back at 81.
 
The Continentals' Sarah DeSanto '25 also carded an 81 playing as an individual. Sofia Weinstein '24 shot 88 as a Hamilton individual.
