Five Hamilton College swimmers will compete in the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., from March 15 to March 18.

Sam Karlson '23 (Warwick, R.I./La Salle Academy) is the lone repeat qualifier after she was an honorable mention all-American at the 2022 NCAA championships. Karlson made the cut for the women's 50-yard freestyle with a team-record time of 23.42 seconds and for the 100 free in 50.62 seconds.
Karlson is also part of a 200 free relay that earned a spot in the championships with a team-record time of 1:34.71.
Ashlyn Blessey '26 (Fairfield, Conn./Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall), Jade Matthias '26 (Reading, Pa./Mercersburg Academy)Â and
Caroline Shen '24 (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland HS) join Karlson on the relay.
Emilio Vicioso '23 (New York, N.Y./The Dalton School) is in the championships after he qualified for the men's 100 breaststroke with a team-record time of 54.67 seconds. He collected all-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors for the 50 and 100 breast.
All the NCAA qualifying times were recorded at the conference championships earlier in February.Â
