The Hamilton College Continentals finished in fourth place out of eight teams in the NESCAC Women's Golf Championship Qualifier at Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown, Mass., on Sunday.

The top four teams qualified for the 2023 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship on April 29 and 30. Williams College, which finished first in the qualifier, will host the event.

Nationally ranked No. 24 Hamilton was tied for fourth place after Saturday's first round but the Continentals easily took over fourth place by themselves with a four-person team score of 314 in the final round. Hamilton finished the tournament at 638.

No. 12 Williams grabbed the top spot at 603, No. 9 Amherst College was runner-up at 608 and No. 24 Middlebury College landed in third place at 623. The Continentals were 26 strokes clear of fifth-place Bates College.

Peyton Sichol '26 led Hamilton as she finished eighth out of 40 golfers at 154. Sichol's 73 on Sunday was the best round of the weekend for the Continentals.

Alaina McKeen '24 tied for 17
th place at 161 including a 79 in the final round. McKeen's 36-hole tournament score is a career best.

Sofia Weinstein '24 finished 20
th at 163 with rounds of 82 and 81.
Maddie Hong '23 ended up 21
st at 165. Hong's 79 on Saturday was Hamilton's best round of the day.
Olivia Strigh '25 tied for 22
nd at 166 including a final-round 81.

The Continentals will pick up the 2022-23 season again in the spring.
