SKIDMORE COLLEGE

Goodfriend Field

Records: No. 19 Hamilton (2-0 overall) opened its NESCAC schedule with a 3-2 comeback win at Bates College on Sept. 8. Skidmore (2-1) opened the season with a 3-2 loss at Saint Joseph's College of Maine, but have posted two straight shutout victories over Thomas College and SUNY Geneseo by scores of 4-0 and 1-0, respectively. 

Last Meeting: Then-No. 9 Skidmore posted a 3-2 win over then-No. 15 Hamilton in Saratoga Springs on Sept. 12, 2017. 

Series: 21-14 (Skidmore)

Who to Watch: Michaela Giuttari '20 scored twice against the Thoroughbreds last year and Tatiana Bradley '19 is coming off a two-goal performace against Bates last Saturday.

 

TRINITY COLLEGE*
Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 11 a.m.
Goodfriend Field

Records: No. 9 Trinity (2-1, 0-1 NESCAC) opened its conference schedule with a 1-0 loss to No. 13 Williams.

Last Meeting: The Bantams upset the Continentals 3-1 in the NESCAC Championship quarterfinal on Goodfriend Field on Oct. 28, 2017, but Hamilton took the regular season game 3-2 in Hartford, Conn. 

Series: 7-1 (Trinity)

Who to Watch: Giuttari scored three of Hamilton's four goals against Trinity last season. With the loss of Kelcie Finn, two-time NFHCA Division III National Player of the Year, to graduation this past spring, the Bantams have managed just two goals so far this season.

 

MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE*
Sunday, Sept. 16 @ noon
Goodfriend Field

Records: Defending 2017 NESCAC and NCAA Division III champions, No. 1 Middlebury (3-0, 1-0) has yet to allow a goal this season while accumulating 21 goals. The Panthers host No.18 Amherst on Saturday before arriving in Clinton on Sunday.

Last Meeting: Then-No.15 Hamilton upended then-No.5 Middlebury 3-2 in Vermont on Sept. 17, 2017. 

Series: 15-4 (Middlebury) but the Continentals have won two of the last three matchups. 

Who to Watch: Bradley scored both the second goal and the eventutal game winner last year.

MIDDLEBURY'S DUKE NELSON INVITATIONAL
Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 1 p.m. & Sunday @ 9 a.m.
Ralph Myhre Golf Course; Middlebury, Vt.

Last Year: Hamilton tied for 14th place out of 22 teams.

Who to Watch: Milan Matneja '22 continues to excel in his rookie season, capturing individual medalist at both the Hamilton Invitational to open the season and the St. Lawrence Invitational this past weekend. Andrew Watson '19 carded a career-low 69 in the first round of Middlebury's Spring Invitational on April 28, 2018, which was also held at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

 

Women's Golf

WILLIAM SMITH INVITATIONAL
Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 11:50 a.m. & Sunday @ 9:30 a.m.
Clifton Springs Country Club; Clifton Springs, N.Y.

Last Year: Hamilton finished third out of 11 teams.

Who to Watch: So far this season, Emily Moy '22 has been Hamilton's second finisher in both outings. Moy tied for fourth place at the Hamilton Invitational and finished 12th at St. Lawrence. 

 

Men's Soccer

ITHACA COLLEGE
Tuesday, Sept. 11 @ 5 p.m.
Withiam Field

Records: A battle of the unbeaten. Hamilton stands at 2-0 overall with shutout wins at Oswego and Bates, and Ithaca (3-0-1) tied No. 23 Cortland 0-0 on Sept. 4 before downing Elmira 1-0 on Sept. 8.

Last Meeting: Jefri Schmidt '20 scored the game-winning goal in the 65th minute at Ithaca on Sept. 13, 2017 to give Hamilton a 3-2 victory.

Series: 14-13-4 (Ithaca) but Hamilton has won four straight games against the Bombers.

Who to Watch: Aidan Wood '20 has tallied at least one point in both games this season with the solo goal at Bates and an assist at Oswego. Bobby Chapman '19 and Roth Wetzel '22 receive credit for Hamilton's two goals at Oswego.

Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 1:30 p.m.
Love Field

Records: Trinity (1-1, 0-1 NESCAC) defeated Endicott 2-1 in overtime to open the season and dropped a 5-0 decision to Williams in its conference opener.

Last Meeting: The Continentals posted a 1-0 win at Trinity on Sept. 16, 2017.

Series: 3-2-2 (Hamilton)

Who to Watch: Hagop Kouchakdjian '21 scored his first collegiate goal in last years' contest and Linds Cadwell '20 made five saves for the shutout. 

 

SUNY ONEONTA
Sunday, Sept. 16 @ 2 p.m.
Love Field

Records: No. 18 Oneonta starts the week with a 2-1-1 record. The Red Dragons faceoff against RPI on Wednesday and Vassar Saturday before arriving in Clinton on Sunday. 

Last Meeting: Then-No. 7 Oneonta posted a 4-1 win on Oct. 25, 2017

Series: 4-0 (Oneonta)

Who to Watch: Captain Greg Milnarik '19 scored his first collegiate goal at Red Dragon Field last year.

 

Women's Soccer

TRINITY COLLEGE*
Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 11 a.m.
Love Field

Records: Hamilton's (1-1 NESCAC) overall record is even at 1-1-1 after a busy five days last week. The Continentals went toe to toe with nationally ranked No. 1 Williams on Wednesday but ultimatly fell 2-1, defeated Bates 2-0 on Saturday and tied Sage 1-1 on Sunday. Trinity (0-2, 0-1 NESCAC) opened its season with a 2-1 setback to Farmingdale State and is coming off a 3-1 loss to Williams on Saturday.

Last Meeting: Hamilton posted a 1-0 overtime win over Trinity on Sept. 16, 2017 in Hartford, Conn.

Series: 4-3 (Trinity)

Who to Watch: Cat Gambino '21 has registered at least a point in every game this season with two goals and an assist. 

 

Men's Tennis

DUTCHMEN INVITATIONAL
Saturday, Sept. 15 & Sunday
Union College; Schenectady, N.Y.

Last Year: Hamilton won 19 of 24 singles matches as Max Zimmerman '21 and Andrew Wei '20 were both singles champions in their respective fights. 

Who to Watch: Rookie, Joe Reiner '22 was singles champion in "C" flight last weekend at the St. Lawrence Invitational.

 

Women's Tennis

ITHACA COLLEGE INVITATIONAL
Saturday, Sept. 15 & Sunday
Ithaca College; Ithaca, N.Y.

Last Year: Hamilton did not attend the invitational last year. 

Who to Watch:  Kat Roberts '22 captured the "A" flight singles title last weekend at the St. Lawrence Invitational. 

 

Volleyball

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE*
Friday, Sept 14 @ 8 p.m.
New London, Conn.

Records: Hamilton sits at 2-2 overall while Conn. College starts the week with a 3-2 record. The Camels face Salve Regina on Tuesday. Friday's match marks the conference opener for both teams.

Last Meeting: After dropping the first set, Hamilton surged back to defeat the Camels 3-1 at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sept. 16, 2017.

Series: 13-11 (Conn. College)

Who to Watch: Sophomore captain and setter, Emma Parkhurst '21 posted impressive numbers during her rookie season, including 45 assists against the Camels last year, before suffering an injury halfway through the season.

 

WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY*
Saturday, Sept 15 @ 2 p.m.
New London, Conn.

Records: Wesleyan (2-1) dropped its season opener 3-0 to No. 7 Ithaca on Sept. 7 and will host Williams on Friday night.

Last Meeting: Wesleyan, the defending 2017 NESCAC Champions, won 3-0 at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sept. 22, 2017
