Tom Rishcoff, previously the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Virginia Wesleyan University the last two seasons, has been selected for the same role at Hamilton College by head coach Matt Brisotti.

Rishcoff helped lead the Virginia Wesleyan men to 28 dual match victories and the women to 23. Both teams improved drastically from the season before Rishcoff joined the staff in 2016-17 and his first season in 2017-18. The women went from a 2-15 record to a 13-9 mark and advanced to the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championship final as the seventh seed. The men moved from a 5-17 record without Rishcoff to a 13-8 campaign with him. He helped guide the Marlins to a 16-4 conference record and two appearances in the ODAC championship semifinals. He coached 11 all-ODAC team selections and the men's team received the 2019 coach of the year award.

"I would like to thank Matt Brisotti and (interim director of athletics) Miriam Merrill for giving me the opportunity to join the Hamilton family," Rishcoff said. "I am very excited to be a part of the excellent program here at Hamilton as we continue to build the program's promising future."

Rishcoff played tennis at Bridgewater College from 2013 to 2017. He compiled a singles record of 38-21 and was 47-20 in doubles play. Rishcoff was a team captain and an all-ODAC second team honoree in singles as a junior and a senior. He made the all-conference team for doubles three times including the first team in 2014 and 2015. The Eagles posted a 31-9 record in ODAC matches during Rishcoff's career.

Rishcoff has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in marketing. He's from Richmond, Va., and graduated from Atlee High School.
