Rowing teams race in NESCAC championships on Sunday

Hamilton College travels to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts, for the 2019 NESCAC Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 12.

NESCAC Championship release

The Continentals have three women's eights and three men's eights entered this weekend. The morning heats are scheduled to begin at 8 and the finals get underway at 1 p.m.

The Hamilton women's varsity 8 is ranked seventh in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Top 15 poll for the fourth straight week. The boat is in a heat with No. 1 Bates College, No. 6 Smith College, St. Lawrence University, Trinity College, Skidmore College and Clark University at 11:10 a.m. Trinity and St. Lawrence received votes in this week's national poll.

The Continentals' second varsity 8 is in a heat with Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Tufts University, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), William Smith College and Clark at 10:30. Hamilton's third varsity 8 is in a heat with Wellesley College, Tufts' 'A' entry, Colby College, RIT and Ithaca College's 'B' entry at 9:20. The Continentals are ranked second in the varsity 8, third in the second varsity 8 and second as a team in the New York Region by the NCAA.

The Hamilton men's varsity 8 races against the University of Michigan, Wesleyan University, Boston College, the University of New Hampshire and the University of Rochester in a heat at 11 a.m. The Continentals' second varsity 8 is in a heat with Marist College, Boston College, Wesleyan and WPI at 9:40. Hamilton's third varsity 8 is in a heat with Marist, Boston College, Williams College, WPI and Colby at 8:40.
