Hamilton’s men’s and women’s golf teams play their home matches at two local courses: Clinton’s Skenandoa Club and Yahnundasis Golf Club in nearby New Hartford. Both teams host an invitational during the fall portion of their season and in 2014 Skenandoa was the site of the NESCAC Men’s Golf Championship Qualifier; the host Continentals earned a spot in the four-team championship event the following spring after finishing just a single stroke out of first place.
The Continentals’ rowing teams operate out of the Rome Boathouse, located on the historic Erie Canal. Each spring, Hamilton holds a number of races on the course and in the fall the teams host the 6.6-kilometer Bridge-to-Bridge Regatta.
Hamilton’s student-athletes – as well as its coaches and staff – can also take advantage of first-rate facilities like the new Delaney Team Center, which houses locker rooms for the men’s and women’s soccer and football teams during the fall, the men’s and women’s hockey teams in the winter and the softball and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams for the spring.
Other locker rooms and team rooms are located in Alumni Gymnasium, which also houses offices for coaches and administrators as well as the Vallely Conference Room.
Both the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House and the Delaney Team Center house state-of-the-art athletic training centers used by Hamilton’s sports medicine department. The centerpiece of the strength and conditioning department is the Power Weight Room, located in the Blood Fitness Center, which also features cardio equipment and the McKenna Lounge as well as coach and administrator office space.
