The Hamilton men’s and women’s tennis teams play their home matches at the Tietje Family Tennis Center and Falmouth Road Race Reunion Courts.

In the event of poor weather conditions, the team moves inside to adjacent Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The field house was renovated and resurfaced in 2010 and can accommodate four tennis courts.

The 12-court facility was completed in the summer of 2017 and dedicated on October 21, 2017, in honor of Francis "Frank" Tietje '80 and the Tietje family of Falmouth, Mass.

In the summer of 1978, Frank and a dozen Delta Upsilon fraternity brothers descended on Frank's parents' home to run the Falmouth Road Race, then in its fifth year. Throughout the next four decades, scores of Hamilton alumni have participated in the Hamilton/Falmouth Road Race gathering which is among the longest-standing privately sponsored Hamilton alumni reunions.

Frank has served as president of the Class of 1980 since 1990. A mathematics and economics double major on College Hill, he also distinguished himself on the tennis court and at the hockey rink. He lettered in tennis each of his four years, serving as team captain as a senior. His Hamilton degree catalyzed a career in financial services.
