Off-Campus Sites and Practice Facilities

Hamilton’s men’s and women’s golf teams have access to two local, private courses: Clinton’s Skenandoa Club and Yahnundasis Golf Club in nearby New Hartford. Both teams have practiced and hosted tournaments at those sites in recent years. Yahnundasis hosted the 2022 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship, which the Continentals won for the first time since 2003.

Hamilton's rowing teams operate out of the Jason P. Andris Boathouse, located on the historic Erie Canal in Rome. The boathouse was dedicated on May 14, 2022, and named in memory of Jason Andris '96, who gave his time and talents to the program as a coxswain, mentor, patron and student coach for the Continentals. The 4,770-square-foot boathouse is located on a redeveloped brownfield site at Bellamy Harbor Park. It features the Class of 2022 Boat Bay, a space made possible by Hamilton rowing families, which can store up to 10 eight-person boats, 10 four-person boats, and oars. The new space includes a team room, a coxswain’s electronic station, a coach’s office, bathrooms, and complete audio and visual services, including Wi-Fi.

Hamilton’s student-athletes – as well as its coaches and staff – can also take advantage of first-rate facilities like the new Delaney Team Center, which houses locker rooms for the men’s and women’s soccer and football teams during the fall, the men’s and women’s hockey teams in the winter and the softball and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams for the spring.

Other locker rooms and team rooms are located in Alumni Gymnasium, which also houses offices for coaches and administrators as well as the Vallely Conference Room.

Both the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House and the Delaney Team Center house state-of-the-art athletic training centers used by Hamilton’s sports medicine department. The centerpiece of the strength and conditioning department is the Power Weight Room, located in the Blood Fitness Center, which also features cardio equipment and the McKenna Lounge as well as coach and administrator office space.
