Henry W. Harding Field House
The newest addition to Hamilton's home athletic facilities was completed in the winter of 2018 to provide an indoor practice facility for varsity teams, clubs and the Hamilton community. The facility was officially named Henry W. Harding Field House on July 5, 2024.
About 50 yards long and 70 yards wide, the indoor practice facility comprises a field made of the same synthetic surface as Withiam Field, Steuben Field and the Loop Road Baseball/Softball Complex allowing outdoor athletes to play on a game-like surface.
The synthetic turf has lines drawn for lacrosse, field hockey, soccer, and football, and there is state-of-the-art protective netting along the perimeter that can withstand 400-500 pounds of force at full speed.Â
Along with a synthetic field, the facility has a private batting cage with a pitching machine for baseball and softball players. A new software called HitTrax, used by many Major League Baseball teams, was installed in the batting cage to monitor ball flight and exit velocity.
