Guard/forward Maria Mercado Rengel ’24 is the women’s basketball team’s December Athlete of the Month. Maria averaged 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and added three assists, three blocked shots and two steals. She shot 54.5 percent from the field, including 6 of 12 from 3-point range, as the Continentals went 4-0 last month. Maria dropped in a career-high 19 points and grabbed six boards in a 66-40 win against Wellesley College on December 3.
