Katlynn McGivney ’23 is the April/May Athlete of the Month for the softball team.

Katlynn went a perfect 6-for-6 and scored six runs in a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Oswego State on April 4. The senior led Hamilton at the plate with two hits in a 3-2 NESCAC win against Bates on April 15. Katlynn was hot at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs batted in and two runs scored in a 13-5 victory over Utica University on April 26. She tied the Continentals’ program record for career stolen bases in Game 1 against SUNY Oneonta and then set career and single-season program records with 42 and 20, respectively, against Middlebury. Katlynn ended the season leading the NESCAC with a .476 batting average, .522 on-base percentage and 20 stolen bases. She tied for first with 60 hits and was second with 46 runs scored and ninth with a 1.030 OPS. Katlynn smashed the team single-season records for runs and hits.
