Conner Rood ’23 is the men’s basketball team’s Athlete of the Month for February.

Conner was selected NESCAC Player of the Week after leading the Continentals to their first NESCAC title this past weekend at Williams College's Chandler Gymnasium. No. 2 seed Hamilton defeated fifth-seeded Tufts University 71-48 in the conference championship semifinals on Feb. 25 and rallied for a 71-59 win against sixth-seeded Colby College in the NESCAC final on Feb. 26. Conner averaged 12.8 points per game as Hamilton won six of its eight contests from Feb. 5 to March 4. The senior guard shot 9 of 11 from the floor for a team-high 22 points in an 84-75 win against Montclair State University in a 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship first round game at Johns Hopkins. Rood chipped in 12 points and five assists against Johns Hopkins in a second round contest on March 4.
