Sam Karlson ’23 is the women’s swimming and diving team’s January Athlete of the Month.

Sam led the team with seven victories in individual events during January. The 2022 all-American’s best performance was in a double dual against Middlebury and nationally ranked Williams on Jan. 21 when she finished first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. In another double dual against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and nationally ranked Tufts on Jan. 28, Sam was runner-up in a fast 100 free race with a time of 52.31 seconds.
