Women's cross country wins Hamilton Invitational team title

Hamilton College's Hanna Jerome '18 led women's cross country to the team title in the 2017 Hamilton Invitational on Saturday morning.

Jerome was the individual winner with a time of 18:38.4 on the 5-kilometer course. Grace Heller '20 was right behind Jerome in second place out of 85 runners with a time of 18:52.4. Brigit Humphreys '21 landed in sixth place with a time of 19:35.3 and Haley Driscoll '21 rounded out the top 10 in 10th place in 19:53.3. Caitlin Anthony '18 finished closely behind Driscoll in 11th place with a time of 19:53.8. Katie Cronin '21 also finished under 20 minutes in 13th place in 19:57.3.

The Continentals registered just 30 team points and edged Division II Le Moyne College by six points in the nine-team field. Hamilton is off until its Short Course Tuneup on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m.
