The Hamilton College volleyball team defeated Colby 3-0 in a NESCAC match at Colby's Wadsworth Gym on Saturday afternoon. The Continentals (8-5, 4-3 NESCAC) won by scores of 25-23, 25-13 and 25-18.

The first set remained close until Hamilton scored five unanswered to take a 21-15 lead. The Mules responded with a 6-0 run to tie the score at 23-all. A kill by Rankin and a Colby attack error finished the set.
Set three started like the first set with seven ties and four lead changes. The score was tied 8-8 when Zizzi delivered a service ace to take the lead and the Continentals never gave it back.
Hamilton returns to Margaret Bundy Scott Field House next weekend for two NESCAC matches. The Continentals play Amherst on Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. and Trinity on Saturday at 1 p.m.
