Women’s tennis compete at ITA Regionals

The Hamilton College women's tennis team head to host Skidmore College to compete in the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Women's Division III Northeast Regional Championship from Sept. 22 to Sept 24. Matches will being at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and Sunday play will start at 10 a.m.

The Continentals are represented by four first years in the tournament as they battle for a chance to represent the Northeast at the national championships in Rome, Ga. on Oct 11 – Oct 15.

Ajla Karabegovic '21 (5-2 singles record) drew Skidmore opponent Renee Karchere-Sun. Sophia Aulicino '21 is a perfect 7-0 in singles play this fall. Aulicino will face Erica Meno of Skidmore. Audrey Chor '21 (3-1 singles record) takes on Ithaca's Kathryn Shaffer, and Ndanu Mutisya '21 drew Tara Edwards of Vassar.

Chor and Mutisya will team up in doubles for the third time this fall. The duo will have a challenge as they drew the top ranked pairing in the tournament, Grace Minassian and Maddy Stoner from The College of New Jersey. Auclicino and Karabegovic are 4-3 in doubles action and face Cortland's Mia Hayes and Nikaylah Williams in the opening round.
