Women's tennis comes back to win at Ithaca

The Hamilton College women's tennis team rallied for a 5-4 non-conference win over the Ithaca College Bombers Saturday at Ithaca's Glazer Arena. The Continentals won four of six singles contests after the hosts had taken a 2-1 lead following doubles play.

Iona Forrester '20 clinched the win for Hamilton, who improved to 9-5 on the season. Forrester was a straight-set winner at sixth singles, dropping just two games to raise her season mark to 7-5.

Samantha Weeks '19 had a hand in two Continental points. After sweeping her opponent at the fourth spot, she's a team-best 12-6 in singles play. Weeks and Claire Keyte '17 recorded Hamilton's doubles win, claiming an 8-7 [7-5] win at the second spot. They're 12-8 on the year.

Winnie Tang '17 and Jane Haffer '19 were Hamilton's other winners; both earned 6-2, 6-3 victories in singles action. Playing at the first and third slots, respectively, both picked up their 11th singles win of the year.

Hamilton is back in action Wednesday, taking on the William Smith Herons at 4 p.m. at the Gray Tennis Courts. Wednesday will mark the Continentals' final regular-season home match as well as their last non-conference competition.
