The Hamilton College swimming and diving teams welcome Rochester Institute of Technology to Bristol Pool for a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m.
The Continentals have not competed since hosting the Hamilton Invitational on Dec. 1 and 2 when the women's team won their fifth straight title out of nine teams. Hamilton opened the season with a sweep over Utica on Nov. 17 before both teams fell to SUNY New Paltz the following day, the only other two events this season.
Tripp Miller '18 led the Hamilton men in the invitational with a trio of top-three performances in the 200-yard individual medley, 200 breaststroke and 100 breast. Ben Cooper '18, Ben Kaplan '21 and Evan Tatro '20 each finished third in the 100 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley, respectively.
On the women's side, Jess Halladay '18 was the top finisher in the 500-yard freestyle and 1,650 free, while also anchoring the first place 400 free relay team at the invitational. Emma Raynor '18 finished second in the 200 backstroke, Sadie Logan '20 grabbed second in the 100 back and Madeleine Lepesant '19 took second in the 200 butterfly.
The Tiger men are 4-2 in dual meets this season and finished first out of five teams at their own Don Richards Invitational on Dec. 1 and 2. The women are 5-1 in dual meets and also won the Don Richards title out of six teams.
The Hamilton men's and women's teams fell at RIT's Judson Pool last season, but swept the Tigers in 2015-16 at the Continentals own Bristol Pool.
