Hamilton College hosts the 2017 Hamilton Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Invitational at Bristol Pool on Dec. 1 and 2.

The first session begins Friday at 5 p.m. and the second session starts 10 a.m. on Saturday. The invitational wraps up with the third session at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. The other women's teams expected to compete are: Buffalo State College, Mount Holyoke, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Potsdam, Smith College and Trinity College.

The Continentals edged SUNY Cortland by one-half of one point to top the eight-team field in last year's invitational. The Hamilton women have captured the invitational title every year since the event began in 2012 -- Hamilton did not host an invitational in 2013.

Hamilton opened the season with a victory over Utica College at Bristol Pool on Nov. 17 before falling to SUNY New Paltz the following day in New Paltz, N.Y.

Jess Halladay '18 captured first place in the 500-yard freestyle at New Paltz and in the 1000 freestyle against Utica. Lauren Klei '18 was the top finisher in the 200 freestyle at New Paltz. Halladay and Klei both contributed to the first place 200 freestyle relay team against Utica. Sadie Logan '20 and Jessica Khanna '21 rounded out the winning relay.

Madeleine Lepesant '19 grabbed the top spot at New Paltz in the 200 butterfly while finishing second to young sister Isabelle Lepesant '21 in the 100 butterfly against Utica.

Sarah Pickup '19 was crowned the 1-meter springboard champion against Utica alongside Missy Paragamian '18 who won the 3-meter board title.
