Halladay '18 strong in 500 free at NESCAC championships

Hamilton College is in ninth place after the first night of finals at the 2017 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Bowdoin College's Greason Pool in Brunswick, Maine, on Friday.

Jessie Halladay '18 finished in fourth place in the consolation final (12th overall) of the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:07.11. Halladay moved up to fourth on the program's top times list for the event.

Hannah Mooney '17 was eighth in the 500 free pre-consolation final (24th overall) in 5:17.10. Mooney recorded a time of 5:14.32 in the morning's preliminary heats.

Erin Lewis '18 landed in third place in the pre-consolation final (19th overall) of the 50 breaststroke with a time of 31.69 seconds. Sadie Logan '20 took second place in the pre-consolation final (18th overall) of the 50 backstroke in 28.02 seconds.

The meet continues on Saturday, Feb. 11 with prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals getting underway at 5:50 p.m.
