Hamilton College's Katie Kreider '18 scored with just 6 seconds left in the second half and lifted the Continentals to a 1-0 non-conference victory against the Hartwick College Hawks at Hartwick's Elmore Field on Tuesday night.

Kayleigh Harris '20 came down the right side of the field on a breakaway just seconds after Hamilton's Emily Dumont '18 had stopped a shot by Kiley Richardson. Harris sent a crossing pass to a wide-open Kreider who buried the ball in the back of the net for her first goal since 2015 and the 13th of her collegiate career. Harris picked up her third assist as a Continental and is tied for the team lead with two this year.

Dumont made two saves and posted her fourth shutout in nine starts this season. She lowered her goals against average to 0.68 and owns an .857 save percentage. Hamilton (5-3-1 overall) has allowed just two goals in its last seven games with five shutouts during that span.

The Continentals peppered the Hawks (7-4-0) with 19 shots and had several quality chances. Alex Fontana '20 and Kayleigh Miller '21 forced Hartwick to make team saves in the fourth and 45th minutes, respectively, and a Harris shot bounced off the crossbar in the 25th minute. Cassandra Robataille turned away seven shots for the Hawks.

Hamilton -- winners of three straight games -- hasn't lost to Hartwick in the last 13 meetings between the two programs.

The Continentals return home for a NESCAC contest against Amherst College on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m.
