Nationally ranked No. 7 Williams College rallied from an early deficit and defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 3-1 in a NESCAC game at Williams' Cole Field on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda Becker '18 scored her eighth career goal for Hamilton and Emily Dumont '18 was credited with a pair of saves. The game marked the season opener for both teams.

Becker gave the Continentals a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. Williams goalkeeper Olivia Barnhill (four saves) made a one-on-one stop on Katja Dunlap '18 but the rebound fell to an unmarked Becker and she buried a shot into the back of the net. Becker nearly found the net again in the 52nd minute after she received a pass from Darby Philbrick '18 but Barnhill made the save.

Erika Jung pulled the Ephs even with just 56 seconds left in the first half and the teams went into the break tied at 1-1. Evan Gancedo put Williams ahead to stay on an assist from Ilana Albert in the 53rd minute and Sarah Scire closed out the scoring in the 69th minute.
