Hamilton College finished in fourth place out of six teams at the 2017 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship, which was held at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., on Oct. 7 and 8.

Libbie Warner '19 and Sophia Archos '21 tied for the Continentals' best round of the day with 82s on the 5,819-yard layout that played to a par of 71. Warner finished in 17th place out of 31 golfers with a 36-hole total of 169, and Archos tied for 19th place with teammate Celia Lau '21 with a two-day score of 174. Archos' 82 tied her season best as she carded the same score in the final round of the Mount Holyoke College Invitational on Sept. 24. Lau posted an 88 on Sunday.

Winda Wanikpun '20 recorded a final-round 87 and tied for 15th place at 166. Wanikpun's 79 on Saturday was the best round of the tournament by a Hamilton player.

The Continentals have finished in fourth place in all three NESCAC championship events. Hamilton was fifth after the first day just one shot behind Bowdoin College with a four-person team score of 340. The Continentals improved their team score slightly on Sunday to 339 and ended up with a tournament total of 679. Meanwhile, Bowdoin's team score was 361 on Sunday and the Polar Bears finished at 700.

Williams College -- the tournament hosts -- captured the team title at 612. Amherst College was the runner-up at 624 and Middlebury College was close behind at 628. Bates College wound up in sixth place at 815.

Hamilton resumes its 2017-18 schedule in March during the College's two-week spring break.
