Hamilton College finished in fifth place out of six teams at the 2017 Williams College Women's Golf Spring Invitational, which was held at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., on April 22 and 23.

The Continentals ended up with a team score of 703 for the weekend. Hamilton's four-person team score of 343 on Sunday was 17 shots better than the 360 the Continentals posted for the first round.

Most of the credit for the improvement from the first to the second day went to Libbie Warner '19, who fired a season-best 75. Warner's score was tied for the second-best round of the entire tournament. Warner shot an 84 on Saturday and tied for ninth place out of 32 golfers at 159. She finished 2016-17 with seven rounds in the 70s.

Katie Veasey '17 led Hamilton with an 83 on Saturday and added an 87 in her final round for a 36-hole total of 170. Charlotte Chandler '17 carded a career-best 82 on Sunday and finished at 177 for the invitational. Veasey and Chandler were playing in their final tournaments for the Continentals.

This was the final event of the 2016-17 season for the Hamilton College women's golf team.
