Women's golf kicks off spring season in Florida

The Hamilton College women's golf team squared off with Mount Holyoke College in match play at the Sand Ridge Golf Club Dunes Course in Vero Beach, Fla., on Friday.

Five golfers from each team competed in an individual match-play format for 18 holes. Mount Holyoke won three of the five matches, Hamilton captured one and there was one draw.

The Continentals' Katie Veasey '17 triumphed in her match by three holes with two to play. Annie McClanahan '20 found herself trailing by five holes on her way to the 14th tee, but she rallied to win the last five holes and secured half a team point.

Hamilton's next competition is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8 when the Continentals play in the SUNY Delhi Spring Invitational at The College Golf Course at Delhi in Delhi, N.Y.
