Hamilton College finished in sixth place out of 17 teams at the 2016 Williams College Women's Golf Fall Classic, which was held at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., on Saturday and Sunday.

Katie Veasey '17 led Hamilton in 33rd place at 167 (84-83). Winda Wanikpun '20 was one stroke back in a tie for 34th place at 168. Wanikpun's 81 was the Continentals' best score in the final round and set a personal best so far this season. She also tied her 36-hole tournament collegiate record.

Electra Washburn '19 tied for 36th place at 169 (85-84) and Libbie Warner '19 ended up 38th at 170. Warner's opening-round 79 was Hamilton's best all weekend on the par 71 layout that measured 5,826 yards. She has recorded five rounds in the 70s so far this fall.

Thanks in part to Warner's 79, the Continentals racked up a four-person team score of 335 on Saturday. Hamilton's team score was slightly higher (339) on Sunday for a tournament total of 674, which was just one shot behind Division II Le Moyne College.

The Continentals head to Middlebury College's Ralph Myhre Golf Course for the 2016 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9.
