Men's track & field posts two top-three efforts at state meet

The Hamilton College men's track & field team competed at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Outdoor Championships Friday and Saturday at St. John Fisher College's Polisseni Track & Field Complex in Pittsford. 

The Continentals finished ninth of 13 entrants in the team standings. Hamilton scored 22 points in the two-day meet.

Eli Saucier '18 was second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 100-meter dash. He posted a runner-up time of 22.38 seconds in the 200 and ran the 100 in 10.93 seconds.

Jack Pierce '17 was sixth in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 15:12.50.

Two Continental relays scored points, with the 400-meter quartet (Ryan Sedwick '19, Saucier, Samuel Robinson '20 and Thomas Bisko '18) placing fifth in 43.67 seconds and the 1,600-meter unit (Matthew McCarron '17, Jake Bolster '19, Justin Dillane '18 and Saucier) finishing eighth in 3:26.61.

The Continentals are back in action Wednesday and Thursday, May 17 and 18, competing at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships at Westfield State.
