Seniors lead men's swimming & diving in last home meet of season

Hamilton College wrapped up the dual meet portion of its season at Bristol Pool against regionally ranked Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon. RPI posted a 226-71 victory against the Continentals.

Hamilton's Tripp Miller '18 touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:11.42 and was runner-up in the 100 breast by one one-hundredths of a second behind the event winner in 1:00.25.

Trevor Pearson '18 captured first place in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:27.07. Ben Cooper '18 ended up third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.20 seconds and was third in the 200 back (2:03.24)

Case Tatro '18 grabbed second place in the 500 free (5:05.11) and landed in fourth place in the 200 free (1:50.48). Younger brother Evan Tatro '20 took third place in the 200 butterfly (2:05.70) and was fourth in the 100 free with a time of 49.50 seconds.

The Continentals honored seniors Miller, Pearson, Cooper, Case Tatro and Chris Klein '18 before the meet.

Hamilton is off until the 2018 NESCAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Bowdoin College. The three-day event begins on Friday, Feb. 23.
