Hamilton College hosts the 2017 Hamilton Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Invitational at Bristol Pool on Dec. 1 and 2.
The first session begins Friday at 5 p.m. and the second session starts 10 a.m. on Saturday. The invitational wraps up with the third session at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. The other men's teams expected to compete are: Buffalo State College, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Potsdam and Trinity College.
The Continentals topped the six-team field in last year's invitational by nearly 300 points more than runner-up SUNY Cortland. The Hamilton men have captured the invitational title the past three years.
Hamilton opened the season with a victory over Utica College at Bristol Pool on Nov. 17 before falling to SUNY New Paltz the following day in New Paltz, N.Y.
Tripp Miller '18 was the top finisher in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke against Utica, and he followed with first place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 200 breaststroke at New Paltz.
Ben Cooper '18 captured first place in the 200 backstroke at New Paltz and in the 100 backstroke against Utica. Case Tatro '18 grabbed the top spot in the 500 freestyle in both dual meets this season and contributed to the first place 200 freestyle relay team against Utica.
