The Hamilton College men's soccer team defeated Colby College 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Love Field and wrapped up their regular season NESCAC schedule.

The Continentals (7-5-2, 4-5-1 NESCAC) enjoyed a 20-3 shot advantage and took nine corner kicks compared to Colby's two.

The Mules (6-5-2, 3-4-2 NESCAC) are ranked 12th this week in the NCAA Men's Soccer Division III New England Region.

Linds Cadwell '20 had three saves for his third shutout of the season while Avery Gibson made eight stops for Colby.

Aidan Wood '20 scored his fifth goal of the year in the 22nd minute. Colby's Grady Jendzejec blocked a shot by Matt Casadei '19 at the top of the penalty box but Wood gathered the loose ball, made his way around a defender, and fired a low shot inside the far post.

Hamilton added the insurance goal with 9:11 remaining in the first half. The third time was the charm after back-to-back Hamilton corner kicks with header shots by Eli Morris '18 and saves by Gibson. Jeff Plump '20 took the corner kick and floated the ball to the back side of the goal area. Morris elevated over the Mule defenders and headed the ball underneath the crossbar for his second goal of the year and fifth of his Hamilton career.

The Continentals wrap up their regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 25 when they visit nationally ranked No. 7 SUNY Oneonta (12-1-2, 7-1-1 SUNYAC) for a non-conference game at 3 p.m.
